MURRY NAMED A-10 DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Murray had 10 caused turnovers across two games for VCU
RICHMOND, Va. – VCU Lacrosse senior defender Casey Murray was named the Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference on Monday.
Murray, who earns the honor for the first time, recorded 10 caused turnovers, five ground balls and four draw controls in VCU's two games this past week against then-No. 9 Virginia and La Salle.
Murray recorded four caused turnovers, two draw controls and a ground ball against the Cavaliers on Wednesday in a 14-5 loss. She followed it up with six caused turnovers and four ground balls in VCU's 13-3 win at La Salle on Saturday.
The Rams host Davidson on Wednesday, April 9 in their next contest at Cary Street Field. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
