- The Spiders pulled away again, increasing their lead to 10-5 with 6:20 left in the fourth quarter on a man-up goal
- VCU rallied, scoring three goals in a 1:37 window to get back within 10-8 with 3:04 remaining in the contest
- The Rams got just one more shot attempt, a save from a free position, and were unable to complete the comeback
