RICHMOND, Va. – The VCU Track & Field program has released its upcoming schedule for the 2025 indoor season, highlighted by the VCU Rams Indoor Invitational in Virginia Beach, Va. on Sunday, Jan. 12.

The VCU Women's Track & Field team looks to continue to build upon their dominant stretch, as they have garnered three consecutive Atlantic 10 Championships and will seek their fourth straight conference title in the 2025 season. The men's team seeks to build upon their top five finish in the Atlantic 10 from the 2024 season.

The schedule keeps the Rams in-state for the entirety of their indoor season. After starting their season in Virginia Beach, The Black and Gold will then travel to Blacksburg, Va. to compete in the Virginia Tech Invitational (Jan. 17-18).

The Rams are set to make the first of two trips to Lynchburg, Va. as they will compete in the Brant Tolsma Invitational (Jan. 24-25). VCU will then compete in the George Mason Patriot Games (Jan. 31-Feb. 1) in Fairfax, Va. VCU returns to Virginia Tech to take part in the Doc Hale Meet (Feb. 7-8).

VCU returns to Liberty and Lynchburg, Va. for the Darius Dixon Memorial (Feb. 14-15) to conclude its regular indoor season.

The Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships (Feb. 28-Mar. 1) and the NCAA Indoor Championships (Mar. 14-15) will both be hosted in Virginia Beach, Va. at the Virginia Beach Sports Center.

The women's program returns significant talent from their conference championship-winning team a season ago. Eryn Byrd returns to compete in the shot put after she earned Co-Most Outstanding Track and Field Performer alongside the now graduated Simone Pierre

The Rams also return Gudrun Karitas Hallgrimsdottir, who finished first in the weight throw at last year's A-10 Championship and finished fourth at the NCAA Indoor Championship weight throw. She was named an NCAA First Team All-American for her performance.

The Black and Gold also return talented sprinters Asia Powell and Kayelyn Tate, who finished first and second, respectively, in last season's 60-meter dash at the A-10 Championships.

The men's team returns key contributors to their top five conference finish as they look to progress even further in 2025. Emmanuel Oche returns after winning the A-10 Championship in the 60-meter dash as a freshman.

Sophomore Jude Okafor looks to build upon his top-five performances in the 400-meter dash at last year's A-10 Championships. David Coles returns to the Rams as well after scoring a fourth-placed performance in last year's triple jump at the A-10 Championships.
