MEN'S TENNIS DEFEATS DAYTON 4-2 TO WIN EIGHTH STRAIGHT A-10 TITLE

The Short Story: The Rams used strong doubles and singles performances to defeat top-seeded Dayton and win their eighth straight Atlantic 10 Men's Tennis Championship

Opening Serve

  • The Rams started the championship dual match by taking the doubles points with a win on court one by the pairing of Senior German Samofalov and Freshman Kostiantyn Mantach, and on court three by the pairing of Freshman Leon Zaorski and Junior Alfred Almasi
  • Dayton got back-to-back points with wins on courts two and three to tie the match at 2-2
  • Kostiantyn Mantach got the lead back for the Rams when his 6-2, 6-3 win on court five made it 3-2
  • Leon Zaorski clinched the dual match and championship for the Rams with his two-set win on court one
