RAMS BREAK INTO USA TODAY/COACHES TOP 25 POLL
RICHMOND, Va. – VCU has cracked the top 25.
The Rams, winners of eight straight games and 14 of their past 15, are ranked No. 25 in this week's USA Today/Coaches Top 25 Poll. The Black and Gold collected 54 points from a panel of 31 head coaches around the country to earn a spot just behind No. 24 Kentucky (88 points) and No. 23 Arizona (91 points). It's VCU's first appearance in the poll since Nov. 25, 2019, when the Rams were ranked 19th.
VCU is also knocking on the door of the Associated Press Top 25. The Rams are listed 26th after garnering 85 points, just two behind No. 25 Mississippi State.
The Rams (24-5, 14-2 Atlantic 10) will return to action on Tuesday, March 5 when they meet Duquesne at 7 p.m. at UPMC Fieldhouse in Pittsburgh, Pa.
