VCU SET TO HEADLINE 2025 BATTLE 4 ATLANTIS ALONGSIDE ST. MARY’S, COLORADO STATE

Rams to make fourth trip to Bahamas since 2012

RICHMOND, Va. – VCU is diving back into Atlantis.

The Rams are one of four 2025 NCAA Tournament teams set to headline next year's edition of the prestigious Battle 4 Atlantis, held annually at Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island in Nassau, Bahamas.

VCU, which will be making its fourth all-time appearance at the Battle 4 Atlantis, will take on a field that includes Colorado State, St. Mary's, South Florida, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, Western Kentucky and Wichita State. Colorado State and St. Mary's each advanced to the NCAA Tournament Second Round this spring, while VCU and Vanderbilt also earned NCAA Tourney berths. Wichita State also earned a spot in the postseason NIT in 2024-25.

Now in its 14th year, the Battle 4 Atlantis has emerged as one of the premier non-conference events in college basketball and has served as a springboard for a number of NCAA Tournament runs over the years.

Led by first-year Head Coach Phil Martelli Jr., VCU will return to Atlantis for the first time since 2021. The Rams also appeared in the tournament in 2012 and 2016 and own a 4-5 all-time record in the event.
