Renovations of the Cary Street Gym began in early 2008 and the expanded facility opened in January 2010. The recreation complex features many new amenities, including two heated, indoor pools; large whirlpool spa; rock climbing wall with bouldering and caving wall; 18,000-square-foot fitness center with cardio and free weight equipment; four-court gym for basketball, volleyball, table tennis and badminton; indoor running track; cycling room; two racquetball courts; and space for group exercise classes.
