BioTech One is home to VCU's Office of Research and its affiliates. The building also houses the Virginia Institute for Psychiatric and Behavioral Genetics, as well as other BioTech Park tenants.

The three-story, multi-tenant research, laboratory, and office building is connected to the Virginia BioTechnology Center via a common atrium and 'skyway' at the second level.
