KNIGHT NAMED AVCA ALL-REGION HONORABLE MENTION
RICHMOND, Va. – VCU graduate middle blocker Jasmine Knight (Phoenix, Ariz.) was named All-East Coast Regional Honorable Mention by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Tuesday, the organization announced.
It's the second time Knight has received All-Region Honorable Mention from the AVCA in her decorated VCU career. The 6-foot middle blocker was also selected First Team All-Atlantic 10 Conference last month after leading the Rams to a second-place league finish during the regular season.
Tuesday's honor is a fitting addition to a VCU career that knew few peers. In 2024, she hit .370, which ranked third in the A-10, as well as 2.64 kills and 0.86 kills per set, to lead VCU to an 18-9 mark, including 16-2 in league play.
Knight ranks third in school history in kills (1,253), hitting percentage (.325) and blocks (516). She received four All-Atlantic 10 Conference awards during her five-year career, including three First Team honors.
