IBRAHIM NAMED TO ATLANTIC 10 ALL-ROOKIE TEAM
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Freshman midfielder Mohammed Ibrahim ends his first season in Black and Gold on a high note, earning a spot on the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie team, the league announced Wednesday.
Ibrahim was one of just two underclassmen to see action in all 17 of VCU's matches and the only freshman to appear in the Rams' starting XI, which he did twice. The Cape Coast, Ghana, native made his VCU debut as a starter on opening night in the Rams' victory over No. 15 Wake Forest.
Helping to produce three clean sheets on the defensive side, Ibrahim also contributed a pair of assists. He made a team-high three shots on goal twice, accompanied only by the 2023 Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year Andrey Salmeron in the feat.
The rookie wrapped up his freshman campaign tied for first on the team in assists, tied for second in shots on goal and third in shot attempts.
