VCU ANNOUNCES "BREWS & BASEBALL" EVENT SERIES
RICHMOND, Va. – The VCU Athletic Development team is excited to announce a new series of events at The Diamond – "Brews and Baseball." There will be five home games that will feature a unique experience for Rams fans and supporters, featuring a two-hour networking happy hour, where the first beer is on the Rams' Development Staff. These receptions and other events are a focus of the department to meet the VCU community and cultivate new relationships, while cheering on the Rams' Baseball Team.
"We are eager for baseball season to start so we can host 'Brews and Baseball' throughout the season. The event schedule highlights some of our most exciting home games and will provide an opportunity for the greater Richmond area to network and connect with VCU athletics staff and others in the community," said Assistant Athletic Director for Development Sara Quatrocky.
Fans who purchase a ticket for the event will receive a ticket and seat for the game, ballpark appetizers, and two free non-alcoholic beverages or one beer. You will receive your ticket, wristband, and drink ticket at the Will Call Window at The Diamond for each event.
There will also be a special edition of "Brews and Baseball: Alumni Edition" for VCU Baseball Alumni and Family on Friday, May 9 prior to the Capital City rival series vs. Richmond. This will kick off the final weekend of the season, which will also feature a reunion for the 2015 VCU NCAA Tournament Baseball Team on Saturday afternoon, and the annual Senior Day festivities on Sunday afternoon.
"We are excited about the upcoming events this year celebrating VCU baseball at The Diamond. Our program is looking forward to continuing to connect past, present, and future VCU fans and alumni. Can't wait to see everyone this season and thank you for all the support. Go Rams," said VCU Baseball Head Coach Sean Thompson.
