VCU Athletics Announces Most Successful Giving Day in History
Thanks to the generous and loyal support of Ram Nation, VCU Athletics is proud to announce their most successful Giving Day in history during the University's Fourth Annual Giving Day. The athletic department secured $363,380 in support of its student-athletes, with 373 loyal donors rallying to support the Rams on Tuesday, April 22nd.
VCU Athletic support on Giving Day 2025 came from both near and far, with 23 U.S. States represented last Tuesday, and most impressively the campaign garnered 168 new donors to the athletic department. The staff and coaches also challenged each other, with 91 gifts coming straight from the athletic department.
The Volleyball program led the way with 61 donors, 36 new to the program, while exceeding their team goal. Baseball, Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Field Hockey, and Men's Soccer all met their team goals while gaining new donors to their programs.
The department was fortunate enough to have eight challenges and matches during Giving Day that helped unlock gifts for the scholarship fund, Men's Basketball, Men's Golf, Baseball, Field Hockey, Track and Field/Cross Country, Women's Tennis, and Volleyball for a total of $70,500.
Many teams at VCU will now be able to continue to compete at the highest level because of the gifts their programs received on Giving Day. At VCU, the coaches and staff aim to provide meaningful championship experiences for their student-athletes which would not be possible without donor support.
Thank you, all of Ram Nation, who generously supported VCU Athletics on Giving Day and those who continue their support throughout the year. Gifts made before, during, and after Giving Day leave a lasting legacy on VCU Athletics and undoubtedly impacts VCU's hard-working student-athletes for a lifetime.
