The short story: Five Rams competed in the NCAA East Region First Round, headlined by David Coles, Philip Daniel and Isaiah-Taji Kargbo-Owens all competing in the triple jump

JUMPS

  • Coles finished as the top Ram in the triple jump, claiming 17th with a top jump of 15.56 meters. The Alexandria, Va. native finished just shy of his season-best mark of 15.61 meters, which he recorded at the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Coles entered the meet ranked 22nd in the East Region
  • In the triple jump, Daniel jumped 14.99 meters to record a 31st place finish. The junior entered Friday with a season-best mark of 15.54 meters, ranking 24th in the East Region
  • Kargbo-Owens recorded a top jump of 14.69 meters to finish 39th in the triple jump. Kargbo-Owens entered Friday's competition with the 30th best mark in the East Region due to a jump of 15.45 meters he recorded at the UCF Black and Gold Challenge

 
THROWS

  • Graduate John Casper was the lone thrower competing in the NCAA East Region First Round, as the York, Pa. native entered Wednesday with the 29th best mark in the hammer throw of 64.37 meters. Casper finished in 18th with a best throw of 64.01 meters 

SPRINTS

  • Emmanuel Oche competed in the 100 meter dash, as he entered Wednesday's race with a season-best time of 10.23 seconds recorded at the USF Invitational. Oche clocked a time of 10.57 seconds to finish 38th. Due to a weather delay, the 100 was run at 10:50 p.m. Wednesday night
