RICHMOND, Va. – For the sixth straight year, VCU's volleyball team is one of the nation's best in the classroom.
The Rams earned a Team Academic Award from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) this week following a 2024-25 academic year in which they posted a record-breaking 3.75 grade-point-average. VCU ranked in the top 20 percent of GPAs nationally in Division I, earning the program an additional AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll distinction.
VCU's 3.86 GPA for the spring semester is the highest in program history. Eleven student-athletes registered a 4.0 in at least one semester, and every Ram on the roster posted a GPA of 3.2 or better for the entire year.
