ELEV8 EXPANDS TO INCREASE PHILANTHROPIC RESOURCES FOR VCU WOMEN’S SPORTS
RICHMOND, Va. – The new era of college athletics continues to ignite major changes for Ram Nation as VCU Athletics announces an exciting and unique partnership between VCU Sports Properties and the Ram Athletic Fund.
Last year, VCU Sports Properties launched ELEV8, a corporate partnership-driven campaign to enhance the eight women's sport program's gameday environment. Through this new partnership, the Ram Athletic Fund will enhance the ELEV8 program by expanding philanthropic resources for VCU female student-athletes to unlock their potential and compete at a higher level.
"We launched ELEV8 with the goal of tapping into the corporate communities to share their time, talent and treasure in support of growing the exposure and attendance for our VCU women's sport programs," said Erik Lowery, General Manager of VCU Sports Properties. "After a very successful inaugural year, we are excited to have the Ram Athletic Fund join us to help bring additional philanthropic resources in support of our amazing female student-athletes."
With the constant change to the landscape of college athletics and the emerging opportunities facing VCU coaches and administrators to promote success, one thing remains consistent: the commitment to providing a world class student-athlete experience. Both VCU Sport Properties and the Ram Athletic Fund will grow exposure, access and fan engagement for VCU student-athletes and teams while creating an environment for them to feel valued in their athletic growth and experiences on campus. ELEV8 will support the female student-athletes by engaging fans and the Richmond community in advancing the eight key areas of impact:
- Increased attendance
- Student-athlete experience enhancements
- Enhanced gameday atmosphere
- Student-athlete wellness and mental health resources
- Growth in media coverage
- Dedicated content creation and distribution
- Impactful community engagement
- Student-athlete sport development
ELEV8 will offer four levels of engagement: All-American, Captain, Champion and Teammate. The All-American and Captain levels will have a strong focus on exposure, access and fan engagement for VCU women's student-athletes and programs. With a financial commitment to both of these levels, marketing and promotions through VCU Sports Properties will help build brand awareness for each participating company while strategically elevating women's athletics at VCU. In addition, VCU Athletics will reinvest part of your commitment into multimedia marketing elements to promote women's sports.
The Champion level supports the student-athlete experience directly, helping them to feel valued in their personal, athletic and professional development. A philanthropic gift specifically supporting the eight women's athletic programs will be designed to elevate their experience and is 100% tax deductible.
The Teammate level is a unique mix of the focuses to encourage the businesses or donors to make a difference in both the philanthropic and marketing support for the VCU women's student-athletes.
"We look forward to gaining support in our community, alumni and loyal donor base to elevate the profile of our eight women's sports programs at VCU. Women's sports are important in this community and we should be doing everything we can to make sure that when our female student-athletes commit to being a Ram, we commit to providing them with the best resources and experiences possible," said Sara Quatrocky, Assistant Athletic Director for Development.
Throughout the year, VCU Athletics will host numerous ELEV8 events beginning with the Kickoff ELEV8 Luncheon on Aug. 25 at River City Roll in Richmond. Other events will include game day experiences with networking, themed games, opportunities to travel with the teams and pregame socials.
