"Your support on giving day is an invaluable investment in the lives of our student-athletes," head coach Beth O'Boyle said. "It is an exciting time to be a part of women's basketball and your donations allow these young women to fulfill their potential as role models on and off the court."

O'Boyle and her staff prioritize giving their student-athletes a well-rounded experience with unparalleled academic and wellness resources based in the Basketball Development Center. Contributions on Giving Day level up access to quality championship experience, while providing tutoring and training tools that set the Rams up for success during and after their time in Richmond.

"Donor support has allowed me to further my education while pursuing my dream of playing basketball at the highest level," senior Grace Hutson said. "Being a student-athlete at VCU has granted me unforgettable life experiences and has given me memories that will last a lifetime. As I think about life after graduation, I feel confident in the numerous transferable skills that I have gained throughout my athletic career at VCU. Without donor support, I would have not had the many experiences that have shaped me both personally and professionally."

In a new era of college athletics, providing world-class support to student-athletes attracts the best talents out of high school and the transfer portal. VCU women's basketball enhances its recruiting efforts by showing off their facilities and resources that put them on par with Power Four schools. Giving Day contributions give the Rams an edge on the recruiting trail.

"Donor support has made me feel welcomed at this university," senior Mykel Parham said. "It means so much to me that there are so many individuals willing to give and help provide opportunities. Their support motivates me to excel in school, play hard on the court and put myself in a position where someday I can give back to a student-athlete like me."
