LACROSSE BRINGS 10 FRESHMEN INTO THE FOLD FOR 2025

VCU begins its season on Feb. 8 at home against Virginia Tech

RICHMOND, Va. – VCU Women's Lacrosse welcomed 10 new members this fall as part of its freshman class that is gearing up for the upcoming 2025 season.
 
The talented 10-member class includes two USA Lacrosse All-Americans and numerous all-state selections. The class is made up of Kenson Epperly, Jessica Bellis, Anna Lombardi, Ava Carrillo, Kaitlyn Morgan, Maggie Ohle, Ryn Feemster, Madeleine Keogh, Amelia Eilbacher and Kate Unzicker.
 
Epperly, from nearby Ashland, Va., was named a 2023 and 2024 USA Lacrosse All-American as well as being named the 2024 VHSL 4B Female Athlete of the Year and a two-time 4B Region Player of the Year. She played club for Yellow Jackets South. Epperly led Hanover High School to the 4B Regional Championship and was named to the VHSL 4A First Team All-state.
 
Bellis, from Glen Mills, Pa., was a two-time All-Central League Honorable Mention Team selection as well as being named to the All-Delco Honorable Mention Team. She played club lacrosse for NXT Black and served as a team captain at Garnet Valley High School. Shehelped lead her team to the PIAA 3A State Semifinals.
 
Lombardi, from Barrington, R.I., was a two-time RIHSS All-State First Team selection, being named to the teams in both 2023 and 2024. She played club for Rev Lacrosse and led Barrington High School to the 2022 RIHSS State Championship. Lombardi was also named to the RI Coaches Association 2024 All-Division First Team after being a 2023 Second Team selection.
 
Carrillo, from Stony Brook, N.Y., led Ward Melville High School to the 2024 Suffolk County Class A Championship as well as a runner-up finish in the Long Island Class A Championship. She played club lacrosse for LI Legacy Blue. A four-year starter at goalkeeper, Carillo was named to the Under Armour 2024 All American Girls Watchlist. She was also named All-County Honorable Mention and to the All-League Team.
 
Morgan, from Gainesville, Va., led Flint Hill School to the 2024 ISL Division A Championship and was named to the ISL A Division All-League team. She played club lacrosse for Hero's. Morgan served as a team captain at Flint Hill and was named Team MVP.
 
Ohle, from Chicago, Ill., led Marist High School to the IHSA Sectional Championship twice during her career. She played club for Lakeshore Lacrosse. Ohle was named a three-time ESCC All-Conference Team selection and a three-time ESCC All-Sectional choice. Ohle also served as a team captain for two seasons.
 
Feemster, from Severna Park, Md., was named the Baltimore Sun Athlete of the Year as well as the Capital Gazette Athlete of the Year at Severna Park High School. She played club lacrosse for Maryland United East. She was named to the Washington Post All-Metro Second Team and led Severna Park High School to two state championships. Feemster was a stand-out three-sport athlete also being named to the Baltimore Sun All-Metro First Team in both soccer and basketball. She was also named the Capital Gazette Player of the Year in both soccer and basketball.
 
Keogh, from Virginia Beach, Va., was named a USA Lacrosse All-American well as the TCIS Player of the Year at Cape Henry Collegiate. She played club lacrosse for Yellow Jackets South. Keogh led Cape Henry Collegiate to the TCIS Championship and was a four-time VISAA All-State Selection including being named to the VISAA All-State Second Team being named to the VISAA Division II First Team twice and the second team twice.
 
Eilbacher, from Titusville, N.J., played at Notre Dame High School where she was a team captain and a two-time All-CVC selection. She played club lacrosse for All-American AIM. was named the CVC Midfielder of the Year her senior season and was a two All-CVC First Team selection. She served as a team captain and was named the Game Changers Comeback of the Year Finalist in 2023. She was also awarded the CVC Sportsmanship Award for 2023-24.
 
Unziker, from Perkasie, Pa., played for Pennridge High school where she was a three-time selection to the SOL First Team All-League. She played club lacrosse for Dynasty Elite. She led her Pennridge team to the Suburban One National Championship and was named to the 2024 Courier Times/Intelligencer All-Area First Team.
