Giving Day Team Spotlight — Men's Tennis
Under first-year Head Coach Dimitar Kutrovsky, VCU Men's Tennis continues to grow and develop a strong foundation built on hard work, unity, and a commitment to excellence both on and off the court. With a tight-knit group of dedicated student-athletes, the Rams are focused on making steady progress each season and your support plays a vital role in that journey.
Click Here to Give to Men's Tennis from now until April 22.
"Donations allow us to give the best possible experience to our student-athletes and make their time spent at VCU even more unforgettable," Kutrovsky said. "We definitely feel the love from Ram Nation, and it makes us want to make them proud that much more."
Six of the seven men's tennis student-athletes hail from outside of the United States. The team aims to keep their student-athletes connected to their hometowns while chasing their dreams at VCU by funding travels home on school breaks. VCU Men's Tennis competes throughout the academic year, which also requires well-funded travel resources, including healthy meals and comfortable lodging.
VCU Men's Tennis also prioritizes academics, with team members pursuing degrees across a variety of fields while managing the demands of Division I athletics. Donor support ensures these student-athletes have the tools they need to succeed in the classroom and beyond. VCU utilizes donations to refine training and wellness resources to develop a competitive advantage for men's tennis student-athletes and prospects on the recruiting trail.
Senior German Samofalov, from Odessa, Ukraine, expressed the team's appreciation:
"We play and fight for the team, we do it because of you!"
In an evolving era of college sports, your generosity allows VCU Men's Tennis to provide resources that support growth, strengthen team culture and create unforgettable memories.
Thank you for your support, Ram Nation.
