BASEBALL AMERICA TABS LEE FRESHMAN ALL-AMERICAN

Lee recognized as Freshman All-American by third publication

RICHMOND, Va. – Jacob Lee's true freshman season with VCU Baseball has continued to garner looks on a national scale, as the catcher was tabbed to his third Freshman All-American team by Baseball America.

Lee became just the second player in program history to be named a Freshman All-America by three publications, joining Tyler Locklear in his outstanding 2021 second-year freshman season.

Earning second-team honors by Baseball America, the 2025 Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year adds the accolade to his NCBWA first-team and Perfect Game second-team recognitions from earlier in the summer. He is the sixth VCU freshman to earn All-America honors over the last 10 seasons.

Lee broke the Rams' standing freshman home run record, blasting his 17th of the year in the season finale, and broke into the single-season top 10 in RBI with 65 in his debut year.

In addition to his growing collection of Freshman All-America honors, Lee was named the A-10 Rookie of the Year, A-10 All-Conference Second Team, A-10 All-Rookie, two Rookie of the Week honors, a midseason Freshman All-America designation and his most recent ranking by D1Baseball as the No. 36 catcher in the country.
