Message to the VCU community about international students, scholars and employees
The Global Education Office (GEO) is unwavering in its support for international students, scholars, and employees, and we are closely monitoring changes to U.S. immigration law and practice to determine how the changes could impact VCU's international community. We have been communicating, and will continue to communicate, with the international community about these changes as needed.
GEO recently communicated with the international community about the Alien Registration Requirement and how to comply with it by carrying specific documents at all times while in the U.S.: https://global.vcu.edu/students/immigration/alien-registration-requirement/
General guidance about responding to law enforcement (including immigration law enforcement) and locating legal and mental health resources can be found here: https://global.vcu.edu/students/immigration/law-enforcement-resources/
Anyone with questions about VCU's support for international students, scholars, and employees is welcome to contact GEO Immigration Services (geois@vcu.edu). We are here to support the international community.
Sincerely,
Jill E. Blondin, Ph.D.
Vice Provost for Global Initiatives
