WOMEN’S SOCCER SET TO FACE POWER FC, THREE RAMS ALUMNI ON AUGUST 2

USL Super League's Power FC will be the Rams' first opponent of 2025

RICHMOND, Va. – VCU women's soccer will welcome Rams fans back to Sports Backers Stadium with an exciting exhibition matchup against the professional USL Super League's Power FC on August 2.

VCU will take the pitch for the first time under the leadership of first-year head coach and VCU women's soccer alum Lauryn Hutchinson.

The match will feature post-game autographs with members of both the Rams and Power FC for fans attending the match.

Prior to the contest, VCU will recognize three former Rams as Carleigh Frilles '24, Anna Bagley '23 and Susanna Fitch '19 return to the pitch, this time competing against their former club.

Fitch, formerly Friedrichs, was a four-year Ram from 2016-19 and compiled over 5,700 minutes over 76 matches in the Black and Gold. She recorded 26 points, scoring a career-best six goals in her final season. In 2019, she earned All-Atlantic 10 First Team honors and was named to the A-10 All-Tournament team in 2017.

Bagley was an All-Region midfielder who spent five seasons with VCU. Her nine assists in 2023 are second-best in program history and she sits among the program's top 10 in career assists, assists per game and shots attempted. The Rams standout is a three-time All-Atlantic 10 selection, including a pair of all-conference first team honors in 2022 and 2023.

Frilles is the most recent of the Power FC Rams, hanging up the Black and Gold just last season before signing professionally. The Haymarket, Va. native appeared in every game over her two seasons with VCU, racking up 1,516 minutes and making 16 starts.

The first look at the 2025 VCU Rams women's soccer team is the first of 10 opportunities to see the team in action at Sports Backers Stadium this season.

Gates will open for fans at 5 p.m. on August 2.
