MEN’S SOCCER ANNOUNCES 2025 SCHEDULE
RICHMOND, Va. – Head Coach Dave Giffard announces the VCU Men's Soccer schedule ahead of the 2025 season, including eight in-season opportunities to see the Rams at Sports Backers Stadium.
The full schedule is available to view here.
VCU's 2025 slate features eight teams who visited the NCAA Tournament last year, headlined by 2024 National Runner-up Marshall in Richmond. Three other programs were national seeds in the postseason a year ago—No. 5 Dayton, No. 6 seed Penn, who the Rams took down as a top-15 team in 2024, and No. 9 Clemson. Akron, Saint Louis and Fordham round out the list.
The Rams will kick off their season with two home exhibition matches against Elon and Patrick & Henry on August 9 and 11, respectively, before ending their preseason schedule at North Carolina on August 15.
On August 21, VCU will open its 2025 regular season with Akron at home. Then, the Rams will take to the road for a pair of matches at UNC Greensboro on August 24 and Old Dominion on August 29.
Continuing the non-conference slate, Campbell and High Point will pay visits to Sports Backers stadium on Sept. 2 and 5.
VCU takes on a pair of out-of-state opponents in Clemson on Sept. 9 and Penn on Sept. 12, before opening Atlantic 10 play at home against defending A-10 champion Dayton on Sept. 20.
In its non-conference finale, VCU will face off with Marshall at home on Sept. 24, before making the first A-10 road trip of the season to face Fordham on Sept. 27 in the Bronx, N.Y.
Opening the month of October with La Salle, the Rams will play host to the Explorers on Oct. 4 and then head to in-state opponent George Mason on Oct. 8 in Fairfax, Va.
The Rams welcome Saint Louis to Richmond on Oct. 11, and then play their final regular season road games on Oct. 18 and 25 at Loyola Chicago and Rhode Island, respectively.
Wrapping up the regular season, VCU will host Davidson on Nov. 1 at Sports Backers Stadium.
The Atlantic 10 Tournament will begin on Nov. 8 at school sites.
