BYRD AWARDED A-10 POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP
Richmond, Va. – VCU graduate Eryn Byrd has been named the recipient of a postgraduate scholarship from the Atlantic 10 Conference, the league announced Thursday.
Each year, the Atlantic 10 awards a postgraduate scholarship to one student-athlete from each member institution who has demonstrated excellence in both academics and athletics.
Byrd recently concluded an outstanding throwing career with the Rams, highlighted by a gold medal in the shot put at the A-10 Outdoor Championships with a mark of 14.91 meters. The Chesapeake, Va., native also captured a bronze medal in the discus with a season-best throw of 43.93 meters. Byrd's athletic performance and academic success have made her a valued member of the Track and Field program.
